Hamlet – NT Live

Revelstoke Theatre Company and The Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre are excited to announce that the National Theatre Live production of Hamlet will be screened at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on Saturday April 23, 2016.

Academy Award® nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game,Frankensteinat the National Theatre) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, National Theatre Live will broadcast this eagerly awaited production live to cinemas.

As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state.

There are two great opportunities to experience the upcoming NT Live Screenings of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’:

1) General Admission screening of the show only: 7:30 pm Saturday April 23rd at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre. All seats $15.00

2) Brunch And More! If you would like to learn more and be involved, we are holding a BRUNCH, followed by INFORMATIVE INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS with professional director Amy Baskin, concluding with the SCREENING. Brunch begins at 11:00 am Saturday April 23rd at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre. Interactive presentations begin at 12:00 pm followed by the screening at 1:00 pm. Tickets $25.00. TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT ARE LIMITED SO BUY NOW! DEADLINE FOR BRUNCH TICKETS IS THURSDAY APRIL 21st. Amy Baskin will give us a general overview of Shakespeare’s work and Hamlet in particular. Amy is a graduate of the Central London School of Speech and Drama and has been working as a theatre professional for many years.
